The Aero Market, Glendale, CA This is a great market and lunch counter. Scott and Glen run the place now days. Their father Harry Innocent stops in occasionally; ask him about his years at Lockheed. Harry's dad opened the place in 1947 and named it "Aero Market" because it was situated in between Grand Central Airport, Los Angeles Airport (Griffith Park), Menasco and Lockheed. On the walls are old photos, mostly of Grand Central and some very rare. There are aviation and military books to read in the lunch area. And if the guys have time, you can always hear about the old days at Grand Central. Located on 1609 Victory Blvd. a few blocks north of the Ventura Freeway and Riverside Drive. |
