Dear Lockheed Retires:

A letter from the Lockheed Martin Company to its former employes. This was sent out after Lockheed joined with Martin, perhaps in 1999.

Dear Lockheed Retiree:

As we launch the exciting new Lockhed Martin Corporation, we want to preserve the splendid history of Lockheed, which spans more than seven decades of achievement. To this end, we will continue an important project to identify and collect valuable historical memorabillia. Because you played such an important part in Lockheed's success over the years, we urge you to join us in this significant effort.

If you have itmes of historical value-such as artifacts, models, documents, books, photos, articles or any other material-please contact Trudy Sibley (see below), who will manage this project. Please be assured that all artifacts will be recorded and safeguarded pending archival review and potential permanent display in a museum, university, or Lockheed Martin site. We also plan to work with an historian to record the Lockheed story.

Because of its importance, Roy Anderson, Larry Kitchen, and Vince Marafino have agreed to serve as advisors on this project. All of us thank you for anything you can do to share the great Lockheed tradition with future generations.
