P-38 to visit Burbank in April

..........April 20, 1 to 4pm

Press Release from Chino, re: " Flora Belle "

The P-38 National Association in conjunction with Chino Air Museum 'Planes of Fame' will be bringing their P-38 back to its birthplace in Burbank for one day only. The date is set for April 20, 1 to 4pm and the plane will be on the Mercury Air Center ramp at 10750 Sherman Way, on the north/west side of the field. The visit is to publicize the P-38 National Convention which will take place during May 12th-16th in Ontario, CA and at Chino airport. Veteran war bird pilot Steve Hinton will be flying the plane in.

Veteran pilots and design and production people will be at the airport also. If you flew it or built it and if you have photos, memorabilia and personal memories please bring them to share with others interested in preserving the memory of this great Burbank aircraft.

How many years has it been since a P-38 has landed at Burbank? With only about 6 left in flying condition this is truely a rare opportunity. Don't miss it!

Also, the Collings Foundation B-17 and B-24 will be on the ramp at Mercury Air Center during April 16-20, 2004.
