The Mission Inn, called by Will Rogers "the most unique hotel in America", celebrated it's centennial anniversary in Jan. 2003
Its "Wall of Aviation" records visits by most of the famous pilots of the day. Worth the trip to see and the hotel is truely a wonder. See it in the evening while the sun is setting. Great!
The Famous Flyers wall is in a corner by the entrance to the Chapel. Each set of copper wings has a name of a flyer who stopped at the Mission Inn.
I can just see Roscoe Turner in the dining room telling of his adventures.
